So I got a Service Desk role, and I'm doing well in it, getting that tier 1 experience, but I don't want to stay here, I want to move up and out as soon as I can. My company has a solid trajectory for advancement into SOC, but problem is they are attached at the hip to Microsoft, and I just...don't wanna. I want to be working with Linux systems, not getting the SC200 and SC900 that are literally all about Microsoft's security solutions. I have Blue Team Security and Security+ but I'm wondering what I can do to push myself in a Linux-focused direction and away from using Microsoft's horrible software suite for my career. Would pivoting to a career in networking or sysadmin be a better bet? #
