Why the hell do I see people talking on my timeline about frankly inconsequential crap like the medieval witch trials as if it's some ongoing human rights crime and no one's even mentioning the theocracy of Tibet pre-Mao, or the Japanese occupation of Korea, or other more recent historical events that continue to have massive effects today? I wonder if it's because they don't know about them. Or because their fellow liberals think it'd be amazing if Tibet was "free" and Korea was "liberated" again.
