I've continued watching Severance because I enjoy the idea behind it. I just finished season 2 and to follow up on my last post about it:
- No, the themes haven't gotten better. If anything, they've gotten muddier.
- Everything continues to be weird and hard to relate to and tbh I think that's just what Ben Stiller does.
- Literally, The Amazing Digital Circus has more believable relationships and better internal consistency with similar themes of identity and imprisonment (which yes, is what Severance is about, not working class struggles). Watch that instead tbh.
