I want to write. I want to write so badly. But my cats woke me up after only four hours of sleep, and after having written two more scenes, I am very tired.
We're at 55k words with maybe 10k more to go in the first draft. The climax is winding up, and don't expect a heavy denouement. We're almost done, and I can tell you for certain what the story now is:
It's a literary fantasy with LGBTQ+ and neurodivergent overtones. It's about challenging preconceptions. It's about magic in unexpected people, and revolution in unexpected places. It's a book that makes you question where you stand from the very first page, and forces you to never stop right up until the last. It's a living world that's been built meticulously and resonates with the here and now. It does not waste words.
The title I'm going with is The Design of Dragons, and I'm still looking for beta readers. DM me.
