I'm reading Trump's speeches deliberately for the first time in my life. I can't stand even listening to him for more than a few seconds, but now I want to do it for a novel, and like...god, I don't know if I can even do this. If I read shit like this in fiction I'd say it's too on-the-nose. Absolute gormless, self-aggrandizing, chauvinistic insanity. Comic book supervillain shit that no one would ever take seriously.
