Database Maintenance and Optimization for Our Hubzilla Instance

Hubzilla Support Forum After our Hubzilla instance recently started to "wobble" a bit, we’ve realized the need to take a closer look at
maintenance and upkeep.We were surprised to see that our database has grown to
3.6 GB, which feels quite large given the limited usage and small scale of our instance.
Some tables are especially storage-heavy — for example, the
cache table alone holds about
345 MB.
We couldn’t find any dedicated tools or settings for
database cleanup or optimization in the admin area. It’s possible we missed something?
So we’d like to ask the community:
* Are there any built-in ways or best practices for cleaning up or optimizing the database?
* Have we perhaps overlooked any admin settings or features that could help?
* Are there user-level options that can help limit database growth over time?
We’d greatly appreciate any advice, suggestions, or experiences you can share.
