PSA: The ACP and Caleb Maupin are self-defined "MAGA #
communist" and "patriotic #
socialist" respectively. That is: They're reactionaries, bigoted conservatives, using revolutionary language in order to confuse and divide people seeking revolutionary answers to the crisis of capitalism. They are not your friends. Their words — even the ones you might normally agree with — are not worth platforming, any more than the "National Socialists" they're taking after.
Fascism has done this with socialist symbology and language since the term was even coined. We must always be on the lookout for this, and examine objectively whether revolutionary movements are what they claim to be.
This is easier than you might imagine. Simply check:
1. Are they revolutionary? (As opposed to reformist?)
2. Are they anticapitalist? (Or are they conceding to certain capitalist demands and notions?)
3. Do they stand for the entirety of the working class? (Or do they espouse bigotry towards certain members of it, based upon immutable aspects of their identity?)
These three very cut and dry measurements have never led me astray in determining whether a socialist can be organized and united with. Even at times when disagreements between people could not (or would not) be surmounted, I have never been left with the impression that anyone who upholds these three measurements is not worth organizing with, as long as they feel the same of me.
MAGA communists, Maupinites, ACP, and their ilk are
not worth organizing with, as they each stand primarily against the third measurement and therefore seek only to divide and weaken the working class, not to unite it, making them reactionary wreckers of the movement.
