OK, #
WotW, big news.
I'm no longer using Synapse as my #
Matrix server. It was really acting up, to the point of borderline unusability, all of a sudden. It had been chugging for a bit, and my server was actually shutting itself down, and even when it wasn't, things were just starting to time out. So I bumped up changing servers and software in my priority list.
Migrating to other software is really a pain; it basically is just starting a new server from scratch, which means everything is gone. Luckily, I'm the only really active person who uses the server.
What this means for
you is that my Matrix server is now running on #
Continuwuity — which, in addition to having an amazing and responsive dev community absolutely full of trans communists, is comparatively very small and very fast. So, I'm no longer at all attached to the Matrix Foundation, and, importantly for people who want to use Hubzilla, my Hubzilla software now has an entire machine to itself, with 6GB of buffer RAM. You'll notice a great speed increase.
