Would Gandhi have an impact today?
I wonder if in our modern times, a figure like him would simply be murdered.
If they would gather a large crowd to non-violently protest Israeli colonization, apartheid, and genocide, Israel would tank-fire into the crowd and we would later learn that Gandhi 2026 succumbed to starvation or torture wounds in an Israeli underground prison.
In a world in which civilian lives cost nothing, can there even be non-violent resistance?
(Which also begs the question, who is to judge those who resist with force?)
