Chromium is not the answer, obviously; its downstream is inherently fucked because Chromium itself as a standard is ruining the internet.
However, Firefox's downstream is fine.
Good alternatives:
Floorp (Probably the best, a fairly divergent fork, like the Vivaldi of Firefoxes)
Waterfox (Independent once again; Firefox without the bullshit)
Librewolf (Extremely private zero-bullshit Firefox)
